Over at Citi Field in Flushing on Tuesday, the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets will be continuing their MLB series.
In Monday’s series opener, Atlanta scored five runs in the first four innings and would cruise to a 7-3 victory.

Pitching for the Braves on Tuesday will be right-hander Julio Teheran. Over 27 starts and a 5-10 record this year, Teheran holds a 3.18 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP in 170 innings. Teheran took a loss his last time up against the Marlins with 5.1 innings, six hits and five runs.
It’s pretty easy to find the standouts on the Braves’ order. Freddie Freeman has hit 167 time with 93 runs, 31 homers and 83 RBI. Nick Markakis has hit 155 times with 63 runs and 86 RBI. Ender Inciarte sits on 141 hits with 75 runs and 28 RBI.
Over on the Mets’ side, we’ll be seeing RHP Robert Gsellman in the start. In his five games (four starts) and 2-1 record, Gsellman has a 3.08 ERA with a 1.41 WHIP in 26.1 innings. Taking a no-decision against Washington his last time out, Gsellman went 5.2 innings with five hits and no earned.
The Mets have some pretty good hitters at their disposal as well. Asdrubal Cabrera has bagged 130 hits with 59 runs, 20 homers and 49 RBI. Yoenis Cespedes has hit 125 times with 64 runs, 30 homers and 81 RBI. Neil Walker holds 116 hits with 57 runs, 23 homers and 55 RBI to take third place, but is done for the year with a back injury.
The Braves are 6-2 in their last eight game twos of a series, and 17-41 in their last 58 Tuesday games. Atlanta is also 7-20 in Teheran’s last 27 starts, and 2-7 in Teheran’s last nine Tuesday starts.
As for the Mets, they’re 5-0 in their last five Tuesday games, and 6-1 in their last seven game twos of a series. New York is also 5-1 in their last six home games, and 20-8 in their last 28 overall.
I’m not too thrilled with Teheran’s chances against this Mets lineup, so I’ll go with New York to get the victory here.
