The Kansas City Royals can stay in the postseason conversation by beating the Cleveland Indians Wednesday.
The Kansas City Royals playoff push took a step back with Tuesday’s 2-1 loss at Progressive Field with great work on the mound unable to compensate for poor hitting. Royals starter Edinson Volquez had been struggling before turning in to Cy Young with a run allowed over 6.2 frames before Joakim Soria gave up an unearned run in the 9th to get the loss. KC managed six hits with Alex Gordon driving in Salvador Perez. The Royals turn to veteran Ian Kennedy to keep their playoff hopes alive at Cleveland. Kennedy comes off of a 7-4 loss to the White Sox with two runs scoring on five hits over six innings.

Cleveland are 37-14 in their last 51 home games and are 9-1 in Kluber’s last 10 home starts while going 9-1 in Kluber’s last 10 starts. The Indians are 2-7 in Kluber’s last 8 starts versus the Royals. Kluber struggles against the Royals and Kennedy is having issues so perhaps the over…
