The Miami Marlins host the Atlanta Braves in south Florida in NL East action Friday.
The Atlanta Braves are red hot but watching this team I can honestly say we don’t know what’s going to happen from day to day. The Braves have really turned it on the past week with six straight wins after downing Miami 6-3. Bravos starter Josh Collmenter allowed two runs over seven frames to get the win and the bats did the rest. Atlanta smacked out seven hits and walked four times with Matt Kemp going deep twice and driving in three while Freddie Freeman drove in two more. The Braves hand the ball to Matt Wisler who will be shooting for back to back wins. Wisler comes in off of a 6-2 victory versus Washington with both runs given up over 5.2 innings.

The Miami Marlins are fighting for a winning record which would be a step up from prior seasons. The winning record was put on hold with Thursday’s second straight defeat. Nothing went right as Marlins starter Jose Urena allowed five runs on four hits and a BB through three innings although six relievers stopped the bleeding. The fish were held to six hits and four walks with JT Realamuto going deep while Marcell Ozuna and Martin Prado drove in runs. Andrew Cashner toes the rubber against the division rival Braves in Friday action. Cashner did not get a decision in a 5-4 win at Philadelphia with three runs allowed on five hits in four frames.
The over is 36-15-1 in Atlanta’s last 52 overall and is 36-15-1 in their last 52 on grass while going 5-2-1 in Wisler’s last 8 starts on grass. The under is 15-5-1 in Miami’s last 21 home games and Miami are 2-6 in Cashner’s last 8 starts while going 2-6 in Cashner’s last 8 starts on grass. The over is 22-7-1 in the last 30 meetings and is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Miami. This game always seems to go over…
