Starting Saturday for the Diamondbacks will be lefty Robbie Ray. In his 30 starts and 8-13 record, Ray owns a 4.66 ERA with a 1.43 WHIP in 166 innings. Ray took a no-decision against LA his last time out with 5.2 innings, five hits and five earned.

Arizona has a few nice hitters up top. Jean Segura has hit 192 times with 91 runs and 60 RBI. Paul Goldschmidt has bagged 162 hits with 101 runs, 23 homers and 90 RBI. Yasmani Tomas sits on 137 hits with 69 runs, 29 homers and 75 RBI.

Over on the Orioles’ side, we’ll be seeing LHP Wade Miley in the start Saturday. In his 28 starts with an 8-13 record, Miley owns a 5.65 ERA with a 1.45 WHIP in 151.1 innings. Miley went four innings against the Rays his last time up, with no earned and one hit.

Let’s check out a few notable Baltimore hitters. Manny Machado has hit 182 times with 103 runs, 36 homers and 93 RBI. Adam Jones holds 158 hits with 84 runs, 28 homers and 82 RBI. Jonathan Schoop holds 156 hits with 89 runs, 24 homers and 77 RBI.

The Diamondbacks are 5-16 in their last 21 game twos of a series, and 2-5 in their last seven Saturday games. Arizona is also 2-5 in Ray’s last seven starts in game two of a series, and 5-16 in Ray’s last 21 road starts.

Meanwhile, the Orioles are 10-1 in their last 11 inter-league home games versus a left-handed starter, and 6-1 in their last seven game twos of a series. Baltimore is also 2-6 in their last eight Saturday games, and 5-2 in their last seven inter-league games against a left-handed starter.

Baltimore shouldn’t have a whole lot of trouble here if things go well. Miley should be able to take care of the Diamondbacks lineup.
