The Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays lock horns at the Rogers Centre with the playoffs up for grabs.
The Baltimore Orioles are third in the AL East and need to be perfect the final week to have a shot at a Wild Card. You might say the Orioles are in trouble as their three game winning streak ended in a 5-1 loss at Toronto. O’s starter Kevin Gausman was hit hard with all five runs allowed ( four earned) on seven hits including two long balls to fall to 8-12. The Birds mustered eight hits and walked three times with Mark Trumbo driving in JJ Hardy. The Orioles have not named a starter but from what I have seen they don’t have a lot of options.

Toronto posted nine hits and walked three times with Josh Donaldson and Esquiel Carrera going deep and driving in four and scoring four times. Francisco Liriano toes the rubber against the Orioles for the first time since 2014. Liriano is coming off of a 9-0 win versus the Yankees where he tossed six scoreless frames.
