USA TODAY Sports
Uriah Hall enters this fight with a 12-5 record and has won 75 percent of his fights by knockout. Hall has won four of his last five fights and is coming off a August win over Oluwale Bamgbose. Hall is averaging 3.2 significant strikes per minute with an accuracy percentage of 52.9 percent. Hall is averaging 1.48 takedowns with an accuracy percentage of 43.7 percent. Hall is finally starting to see consistent results lately after many folks were questioning if he was worth the hyper earlier in his career. Hall is defending 76 percent of his takedowns and almost 58 percent of his strikes. A confident and focused Hall makes him capable of beating a lot of fighters at the UFC level. This is a chance for Hall to really make a statement. This will be Hall’s first time fighting in Japan.
This is an interesting fight because Hall is finally starting to put things together and is on a nice little winning stretch. So, while Mousasi may be the more polished and experienced fighter, there’s certainly room for an upset here.
I’m going to take my chances given the value and take Hall for the surprising victory.
