Francisco Rivera and Brad Pickett fight Saturday at UFC Fight Night in The O2 Arena.

Francisco Rivera enters this fight with a 11-5 record and has won 73 percent of his fights by knockout. Rivera has lost three of his last four fights and is coming off a September loss to John Lineker. Rivera is averaging 4.05 significant strikes per minute with an accuracy percentage of 42.5 percent. Rivera is averaging 1.02 takedowns with an accuracy percentage of 55.5 percent. Rivera is a very polished striker who is able to end fights quickly when he’s fighting his style fight. The downside is that Rivera isn’t a great grappler and has been submitted in two of his last three fights. Rivera needs to stay on his feet if he’s going to break out of his current slump. This will be Rivera’s first fight in London.

Francisco Rivera vs. Brad Pickett UFC Pick, Preview, Odds, Prediction - 2/27/16

USA TODAY Sports

Brad Pickett enters this fight with a 25-11 record and has won 40 percent of his fights by submission. Pickett has lost five of his last seven fights and is coming off a July loss to Thomas Almeida. Pickett is averaging 3.2 significant strikes per minute with an accuracy percentage of 31.2 percent. Pickett is averaging 2.61 takedowns with an accuracy percentage of 42.4 percent. Pickett is also a fighter in poor form and desperate for a win as he’s won just two fights since 2012. The good news for Pickett is that he’s a dangerous grappler and will have the advantage if he can take this fight to the canvas. Pickett will also have a heavy crowd advantage as well. This will be Pickett’s 16th fight in London, his home city.

This is a must-win fight for both of these guys who are struggling in a big way. And while Pickett and the crowd advantage he’s going to have along with the plus money is interesting, the bottom line is that Rivera is the better fighter between the two and should be able to dictate and win this fight.

Look for Rivera to be the guy to get back on track.
