Yakovlev looks for his third straight win for the first time in three years. Yakovlev has proven to be one of the more balanced fighters in the welterweight division, a she’s comfortable on the canvas, has knockout power and can win ugly if need be. Yakovlev has also never been knocked out in his career, which is noteworthy considering this matchup. This will be Yakovlev’s third fight in the United States.
This will be a fun fight between two accomplished guys in the welterweight division who have shown they have balanced attacks and can win multiple ways. And while Yakovlev is more experienced and has a proven chin, I can’t bet against Usman. He’s in terrific form and his aggressive and powerful attack is downright scary once he gets comfortable.
Fun matchup, but I’m going with Usman to win his seventh straight fight.
