The Los Angeles Lakers will be looking to avoid a third straight loss tonight when they host the Atlanta Hawks.
After stunning the Clippers in the season opener, the Lakers haven't been able to have any success, losing to the Spurs after getting blown away by the Warriors. On Friday against the Spurs, the Lakers were able to stay in the game despite shooting just 36.6 percent from the field, but they just had no answer for Tony Parker or Manu Ginobili who combined for 44 points. Leading the way for the Lakers was Pau Gasol who had 20 points and 11 rebounds. Jodie Meeks had 14 points and Wesley Johnson added 12 points off the bench but no one else reached double digits in what was a sloppy game from both teams.

Meanwhile, the Hawks were able to bounce back from a loss in their season opener with a 102-95 win over the Raptors on Friday. Al Horford scored a team-high 22 points and 16 rebounds, while Kyle Korver and Jeff Teague added 17 points apiece. Paul Millsap added 15 points as the Hawks registered their first home win of the season but now embark on a three-game road trip which starts in Los Angeles tonight.
Head to head, the Hawks are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Los Angeles and the home team is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings.
This figures to be a close game with both squads yet to hit their straps in the early stage of the season but I can't go past the Hawks in this one who look to be the more settled unit. Sure, the Lakers were impressive against the Clippers in their first game but they've been disappointing since and I would be surprised if their bench can turn it on for them again. I'm taking the visitors here.
