The Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder duke it out at the Paycom Center on Friday night.

The Utah Jazz have been in poor form as they’ve lost six of their last 10 games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting beaten by the ice-cold Spurs in a 102-94 loss on Tuesday. Lauri Markkanen led the team with 28 points and 10 rebounds, Talen Horton-Tucker added 16 points while Kendrick Nunn chipped in with 11 points off the bench. As a team, the Jazz shot just 35 percent from the field and 10 of 34 from the 3-point line as they managed to lead for most of the game despite their poor shooting, only to go cold when it mattered most as they managed just 21 points in the fourth quarter to allow the lowly Spurs to slip away with the win in the end. Kelly Olynyk scored just eight points on zero of four shooting while Simone Fontecchio finished scoreless on zero of seven shooting.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall and they will be eager to arrest a five-game slide after falling short to the Lakers in a 123-117 loss on Wednesday. Jalen Williams led the team with 24 points and seven assists, Josh Giddey added 22 points with nine rebounds and 11 assists while Luguentz Dort chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Thunder shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 40 from the 3-point line which was enough to stay on top of the Lakers until the second half where the Lakers’ bench sparked a run. Jaylin Williams had a night to forget as he scored just four points on one of seven shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four road games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 4-1-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Thunder are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 0-3-2 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings overall, the Jazz are 4-12-1 ATS in the last 17 meetings overall and the Jazz are 7-18-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Oklahoma City.

The Jazz are going to be shorthanded again as Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson are both out, while the Thunder are still missing Kenrich Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Jazz have gone off the boil with six losses in their last 10 games and their confidence must be at an all-time low after losing to the lowly Spurs in a bad loss on Tuesday. The Thunder have really struggled to stay competitive without Gilgeous-Alexander in the lineup, but they were able to stay close with the Lakers on Wednesday thanks to a big game from Josh Giddey and I think we’re going to see more of the same here. The Jazz are only 4-12-1 ATS in the last 17 meetings overall, so I’ll lean towards the Thunder to get the much-needed win at home get their season back on track.
