The Phoenix Suns head to Miami on Monday to square off against LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
The Miami Heat are sitting at 10-3 this season, and on their home court, the Heat are 7-1. Miami started off the season a little sluggish, perhaps still suffering a hangover from the Championship, but Miami has since turned it on, winning six straight. Miami’s last outing was against the Magic on Saturday in Miami, and the Heat took care of business, defeating the Magic 101-99, despite needing a late rally to do so. The Heat were led by LeBron James on the night, who finished with 22 points and nine boards.

The Phoenix Suns are playing some good ball this season, as the Suns are in the black, having a record of 7-6 on the season. Phoenix has struggled a bit on the road however, going just 3-4 away from home this season. The Suns are just 2-3 in their last five games, but Phoenix has won their last two, both games being on the road as well. Last time out the Suns defeated the Magic on Sunday 104-96. Dragic led the way for the Suns against Orlando on Sunday, scoring 23, while also contributing 13 assists for a solid +/- of +15.
The Phoenix Suns just keep on covering this season, as the Suns are now 9-2 against the spread on the year. Phoenix is also a perfect 8-0 against the spread this season when listed as an underdog. ON the road, the Suns are perfect against the line as well, going 6-0 this season.
The Miami Heat are 6-7 against the spread on the year, and the Heat have been the favorite in every game so far. Miami is just 3-5 against the spread at home, despite their strong overall home record. When the Heat are going up against teams scoring 99+ this season, Miami is 2-3 ATS.
I’m taking the Heat in this spot. The Suns are in a bad spot here as Phoenix hasn’t exactly been dominant on the road this season, and the Suns now have to face the Heat coming off of no rest. Miami is well rested and not the type of team to let up on anyone, so look for Miami to take it to the Suns here on Monday.
