You have to feel for the Chicago Bulls, who will once again be without superstar Derrick Rose as he injured his right knee in their 98-95 loss in Portland on Friday night. Folllowing an 18-month layoff, Rose was dealt another cruel blow in his bid to make a succesful comeback from a torn ACL as he injured his opposite knee in their loss to the Trail Blazers. Rose went in for surgery on Monday and his return is not known at this time. The Bulls certainly missed their best player on Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers, getting beaten by a whopping 39 points to a team that had been struggling previously.
Speaking of struggling, the Utah Jazz come into tonight's game having lost 14 of their 15 games following their 95-73 defeat in Oklahoma City on Sunday night. We all thought the Jazz would struggle this season, but not this bad as they continue to falter in all facets of the game. Most notoriously the offensive side of the ball as they are ranked dead last in points per game (88.5) and bottom five in assists and rebounds per game.
The Utah Jazz are due for a win, but this is a bad spot for them. The Bulls are still reeling from the news about Derrick Rose, but you have to think that 39 point loss in Los Angeles last night woke them up. They showed last season that they can still win 45 odd games and play at a high level without Rose. I would feel alot better if Jimmy Butler was playing, but I think this proud squad bounces back with a road win tonight...
