The Brooklyn Nets will be looking for consecutive wins tonight when they play host to the Los Angeles Lakers.

With eight losses in their last 10 games, the Nets have been an absolute train wreck lately. However, they were able to snap a five-game skid last night with a sneaky 102-100 win last night thanks to 24 points from Andray Blatche and 21 points from Joe Johnson. Former Celtics, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett also chipped in with 16 and 12 points respectively but the Nets don't really care about the stats, they'll just take any win they can get. With just their second road win of the season, Brooklyn improve to 4-10 on the season and 2-7 on the road.

On the other hand, the Lakers were riding a season high three-game winning streak into Washington last night but fell short by 116-111 thanks to a huge night from the Wizards' John Wall who had 31 points. Pau Gasol led the starters with 17 points, six rebounds and eight assists while Jordon Farmar scored a team-high 22 points and eight assists off the bench, but there was just no slowing down Wall or Nene. The defense didn't look good, but the Lakers will be encouraged with their three-point shooting as they sunk 13 of 28 from the arc.

In ATS trends, the Lakers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games, while the Nets are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record.

It's pointless looking at head to head stats or trends because both of these squads are completely unrecognizable to most people, but looking at recent form, you can't go past the Lakers who have been somewhat overachieving with their 7-8 record. Sure, LA is just 1-5 on the road, but I actually think that tonight could be their second road win of the season so I'm taking them with the points here.

Los Angeles +2.5
