The Washington Wizards look to improve on their impressive home record when they play host to the Orlando Magic tonight.
With John Wall producing big numbers on a nightly basis, the Wizards have won six of their last eight and are coming off a 108-101 victory over the Hawks from Saturday night. Wall led the way with 26 points, 12 assists and five steals, while Trevor Ariza had five three pointers on his way to a season-high 24 points. Defensively, the Wizards could do little to slow down the front court of the Hawks, but they did manage to force Jeff Teague to miss 13 of his 18 shots and commit five turnovers, which was the difference in the end. With the win, Washington improved to 8-9 on the season and 5-2 at home.

Meanwhile, the Magic have lost eight of their last 11 and are coming off a rout at the hands of the Spurs to the score of 109-91. The Magic played the Spurs tight until midway through the second quarter when the Spurs scored 17 consecutive points and took over the game. Arron Afflalo had 17 points, while Victor Oladipo added 15, but the Magic were completely outmatched in the reserves department as the Spurs' bench outscored the Magic's by 52-31 which was always the danger once they elected to move Oladipo into the starting lineup. With the loss, Orlando drop to 6-10 on the season and 5-5 at home.
In ATS trends, the Magic are 10-23-1 ATS in their last 34 games against a team with a losing record and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall, while the WIzards are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 home games.
Head to head, the Magic are just 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings in Washington.
It's been great to see Wall in a purple patch of form and I'm confident that will continue tonight, especially playing at home. I won't overthink this one, just take the Wizards to win and cover the spread at home against the struggling Magic.
