The Miami Heat could be without Dwyane Wade tonight when they take on the Detroit Pistons for the second time in a week.

The Heat were able to bounce back from consecutive double digit losses to the Pistons and the Bulls by crushing the Timberwolves by 103-82 last night. LeBron James led the way with 21 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists, while Dwyane Wade returned from his illness to add 19 points, but it was on the defensive end where the Heat really flexed their muscle, holding the Wolves to just 29.3 percent shooting, including Ricky Rubio to just one point and six turnovers as he struggled to deal with the numerous trap plays the Heat sent his way.

Meanwhile, the Pistons have finally found some form and will be looking for a fifth straight win tonight after cruising past the Bulls by 92-75 last night. Brandon Jennings made five threes on his way to a season-high 33 points, but the rest of the Pistons combined to shoot just 37.9 percent from the field which is a little worrying. Fortunately, the Pistons were great on defense, especially in the third quarter where they held the Bulls to just nine points, followed by just 19 points in the fourth quarter. With the win, Detroit improve to 10-10 on the season and 5-5 on the road.

In ATS trends, the Heat are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a win of more than 10 points, while the Pistons are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a win.

Head to head, the Heat are 8-3-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Detroit.

The Heat had their 10-game win streak snapped by the Pistons last Tuesday, but they have a little excuse in that they were without D-Wade, who is obviously a big part of the team on both ends of the floor. However, because the Heat played just last night, his status for tonight is still unclear so please check back later for my free pick.

Miami -3
