The Houston Rockets play host to the Orlando Magic as they meet for the first time this season.

The Rockets were looking a little wobbly after consecutive losses to the Jazz and the Suns, but they've turned things around in a big way after blowing away the Warriors by 105-83 on Friday. Led by 34 points from James Harden, the Rockets made sure they didn't lose three straight by pouncing on the Warriors from tipoff and jumping out to a 31-12 lead at the end of the first quarter. The rest of the game was basically garbage time as the Warriors could never really get back into the game. With the win, Houston improve to 13-7 on the season and 8-3 at home, where they've won seven of their last eight.

Meanwhile, the Magic have lost eight of their last 10 and will be hoping to avoid a fifth straight loss after getting blown out by 121-83 by the resurgent Knicks on Friday. Arron Afflalo led the team with 20 points, while Victory Oladipo added 17, but the Magic continued to struggle without Nikola Vucevic who has sat out his second game with a strained left ankle. Things got particularly ugly in the second half against the Knicks as the Magic could only total 29 points while allowing 62.

In ATS trends, the Magic are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a loss and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall, while the Rockets are 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall.

Head to head, the Magic are 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 4-1 ATS in the last five in Houston.

The line has opened with the Rockets favored by 12.5 points which seems a little high for me, but it's just too hard to go for the Magic now, especially in the form they're in. Take Houston to win and cover at home, or stay away from this game altogether.

Houston -12.5
