The New York Knicks go for their third straight win today when they play host to the Boston Celtics.
It's been a long time coming but the Knicks finally look to have turned their season around with a couple wins on the trot. After cruising past the Nets by 30 points on Thursday, the Knicks trounced the Magic by 38 on Friday to end a seven-game home skid. The main reason for the sudden success has been the Knicks' ability to connect on three pointers as they made 17 of 34 against the Magic after making 16 of 27 the night before. With the win, NY improve to 5-13 on the season and 2-7 at home.

Meanwhile, the Celtics have been in decent form themselves, with wins in five of their last seven outings and their last two straight after taking down the Nuggets by 106-98 on Friday. Jordan Crawford led the team with 22 points, while Avery Bradley and Kris Humphries added 18 points apiece, but this game was really over before it began as the Celtics flew out of the gates to a 39-15 lead at quarter time before cruising to victory. With the win, Boston improves to 9-12 on the season and 5-5 at home.
In ATS trends, the Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against Eastern Conference opponents and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Knicks are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 1-8 ATS in their last nine home games.
Head to head, the Celtics are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in New York and the Under is 8-1 in the last nine meetings overall.
It's about time the Knicks started to get their season together because it was looking seriously ugly for a while, but for them to be favored by six points against the Celtics is a bit generous I think. The C's have been in winning form and I wouldn't be surprised if they won this one, so I'm actually taking the C's in this one.
