The New York Knicks will be looking for revenge tonight when they take on the Boston Celtics for the second time this week.
A 41-point loss to the Celtics followed by a 15-point loss to the Cavaliers had the Knicks looking dead in the water, but they were able to sneak their way past the Bulls on Wednesday despite blowing a lead of 23 points. Carmelo Anthony led the way with 30 points and 10 rebounds, while Amare Stoudemire had a strong outing of 14 points and nine rebounds, but the Knicks made a meal of what should have been an easy win as the Bulls just couldn't make a basket, especially in the first half where they totalled just 32 points. With the way things have been going, the Knicks can take anything they can get, especially because they are just 6-15 on the season and 3-8 at home.

Meanwhile, the Celtics were looking for their fourth straight win after they destroyed the Knicks on Sunday, but have since lost two straight to the Nets and the Clippers. Against LA, the Celtics and their loyal fans showed plenty of gratitude to former coach Doc Rivers, but after the applause died down, it was all business and it was the Celtics who threw the first punch, jumping out of the gates and out to an early lead. However, as the game turned into more of a half-court type battle, the C's found it tougher to contain the likes of Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford. Jeff Green led all scorers with 29 points while Jordan Crawford added 20, but the Celtics received just four points from their bench which has been the case all season.
In ATS trends, the Knicks are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following a win, while the Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss and 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 home games against a team with a losing road record.
Head to head, the Knicks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Boston while is under is 4-1 in the last five.
It would be easy to take the Celtics after the way they took apart the Knicks back on Sunday and that was definitely my initial thought. However, I think the Knicks have something to prove and should be able to start the game with urgency and exact revenge here. Certainly not a hot tip, but I'm taking the visitors with the points in this one.
