The Detroit Pistons will be hoping to avoid a fourth straight loss tonight when they play host to the Brooklyn Nets.
Believe it or not, the Nets will be going for a season-high fourth straight win tonight after taking down the Clippers last night by 102-93. Andray Blatche and Joe Johnson each scored 21 points to lead all scorers, while Brook Lopez added 16 and Deron Williams added 15. Paul Pierce even had himself 10 points off the bench so with all the key players back on the court, the coach Jason Kidd and the Nets can finally start their season and rebound from their slow start. Despite the win, Brooklyn is still only 8-14 on the season and 4-6 at home.

Meanwhile, the Pistons were looking at five straight wins at the start on the month, but they've lost their last three including a 111-106 overtime loss against the Pelicans on Wednesday. Greg Monroe poured in 28 points, while Brandon Jennings added 25, but while the Pistons showed great mettle to hold the Pelicans to just 15 points in the fourth quarter, a couple missed defensive assignments in overtime cost them the game. With the loss, Detroit falls to 10-13 on the season and 5-6 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games following an ATS win, while the Pistons are 22-8-1 ATS in their last 31 games against a team with a losing record and 8-0 ATS in their last eight against the NBA Atlantic.
Tonight we have two teams struggling for consistency so it's pretty hard to be confident about picking a winner. However, While the Pistons are on a downward trend, the Nets are getting healthy and starting to get hot so I'm just going to roll with the form team in this one. Brooklyn with the points for me, thanks.
