The New Orleans Pelicans play host to the Memphis Grizzlies at the Smoothie King Center on Wednesday night.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been in red-hot form as they’ve won nine of their last 11 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after taking down the depleted Trail Blazers in a 119-109 win last night. Desmond Bane led the team with 30 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Ja Morant added 23 points with nine assists while Luke Kennard chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 48 percent from the field and 18 of 48 from the 3-point line as they wasted an early 19-point lead to find themselves in a bit of trouble, before they held the Trail Blazers to just 14 points in the fourth quarter to pull away and win comfortably in the end.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have sprung to life with seven wins in their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting thrashed by the Kings in a 121-103 loss last night. Brandon Ingram led the team with 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists, Trey Murphy added 17 points while Jonas Valanciunas chipped in with 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Pelicans shot 44 percent from the field and seven of 20 from the 3-point line but they got off to a slow start and were always fighting a losing battle after allowing 40 points in the second quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Pelicans are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games, 8-17 ATS in their last 25 games against a team with a winning record and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall.

Head to head, the Grizzlies are 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings in New Orleans and the Grizzlies are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall. The Grizzlies will likely be missing Steven Adams and Dillon Brooks again, while the Pelicans are still missing Zion Williamson and Jose Alvarado. Both teams are coming into this meeting with plenty of winning momentum, but the Grizzlies are only 5-12 ATS in their last 17 road games and 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings in New Orleans, so I will lean towards the Pelicans at home.
