The New York Knicks travels to Milwaukee on Wednesday night to face the Bucks.
Head to head, the Knicks are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings while the underdog is 15-7 ATS in the last 22 meetings. The Bucks 51-23-2 ATS in their last 76 vs. NBA Atlantic, but just 21-44 ATS in their last 65 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. The Knicks on the other hand are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400, but just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games overall.
I think I can officialy give up on my Milwaukee Bucks bet to win over 28.5 games this regular season. Given their 5-19 start, the fact that they still have four to five key players out injured and lure of this upcoming draft class, I just don't see this Bucks squad winning another 24 games, no way. And good on them, if there was ever a season to really suck then they picked the right one to do it. I could see Jabari Parker doing his best Glenn Robinson impersonation en route to winning rookie of the year and giving the fans in Milwaukee finally something to cheer about.
As crazy as it sounds, the Knicks come into tonight's contest having won only two more games than the hapless Bucks, that's how bad things have started for New York this season. And just when you thought the Knicks were on the verge of turning things around they go out an suffer a heart-breaking 102-101 defeat against the visiting Washington Wizards on Monday, despite leading a couple of buckets late in the game.
The Knicks aren't a very good basketball team right now, but they are a whole lot better than the Bucks of Milwaukee. The team in green is just 2-10 at home this season and they are also 3-9 against the spread in those games. They will also be without O.J. Mayo as he attends the funeral of his grandmother. New York has some injury concerns of their own in Keynon Martin and Amare Stoudamire, but I think they get it done here regardless...
Dan’s Pick: New York -1.5
