NBA Daily Updates 12/23: George and the Pacers Roll, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
December 23, 2013
After a slow Sunday with only three games on the schedule, the NBA will be kicking back into gear tonight with 11 matchups ahead. While we’re waiting for the tip-offs, let’s take a closer look at some of the noteworthy names out there and see what everyone’s up to. Here’s the latest.
Paul George, SF, Indiana Pacers: Though he didn’t threaten a double-double like usual, George still had a heavy hand in determining the outcome of yesterday’s game against the Celtics. He posted 24 points, five rebounds and a pair of assists in the Pacers’ 106-79 win, a game which saw Indy win every quarter. That’s three straight games with at least 24 points for George, who is humming along nicely right now.
After losing a pair, Indy has won their last two and stand at 22-5 on the year. They’re in action again tonight in Brooklyn.

Kyle Lowry, PG, Toronto Raptors: In a somewhat surprising win over the Thunder, Lowry had himself another great outing. He put up 22 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and four steals in 37 minutes of action, helping the Raptors to a 104-98 comeback victory. In his last pair of games, Lowry now has 42 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assists.
Toronto has found some traction recently; They stand at 11-14 and have won four of their last five. Their four-game road trip continues tonight in San Antonio and concludes Dec. 27 against the Knicks.
Chris Paul, PG, Los Angeles Clippers: In yesterday’s lone OT game, Paul and the Clippers appeared to be finished near the end of regulation against Minnesota. They were able to rally themselves and eke out a 120-116 victory, however, aided by Paul’s 19 points, 13 assists and six rebounds. L.A. was able to overcome a big performance by Kevin Love (45 points, 19 rebounds) to get the win.
That’s five wins in a row for the 20-9 Clippers. They’re on the road against the Warriors on Christmas and will head to Portland the day after.
NBA Daily Schedule: 22 teams will be hitting the court tonight in the NBA, so there are bound to be some great games mixed in there. Here’s a look at the complete schedule, along with the start times and TV networks carrying the games.
