The Washington Wizards and the Minnesota Timberwolves collide at the Target Center on Tuesday night.

The Washington Wizards have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last six games, but they will be looking for a better performance in this one after getting blown off the floor by the Celtics in a 144-102 road loss on Sunday. Kristaps Porzingis and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope each scored 17 points, Ish Smith added 16 points with five assists off the bench while Corey Kispert chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Wizards shot 46 percent from the field and eight of 21 from the 3-point line as they struggled right from the start and leaked 35 points in the first quarter to fall behind by double-digits early and things went from bad to worse in the second half where they leaked 74 points in a nightmare of a finish.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in decent shape as they’ve won three of their past five games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after outlasting the Rockets in a 139-132 road win on Sunday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 33 points and five assists, Karl-Anthony Towns added 28 points with 11 rebounds and five assists while D’Angelo Russell chipped in with 22 points, nine assists and four steals. As a team, the Timberwolves shot a sizzling 59 percent from the field and 17 of 41 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 42 points in the first quarter to take a 12-point lead into halftime which grew to 27 points in the third quarter where they poured in another 36 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games. The Timberwolves are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 home games, 21-8-1 ATS in their last 30 games against a team with a losing record and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings overall, the Wizards are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Minnesota and the Wizards are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall.

The Wizards were on a nice run of form before they got completely destroyed by the Celtics on Sunday, while the Timberwolves are starting to heat up again and they will be full of confidence after pouring in 139 points in a win over the Rockets in their last outing. The line is a little hefty, but the Timberwolves are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 home games and a win here simply means more to the Timberwolves than the Wizards at this point of the season.
