The Milwaukee Bucks collide with Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night from the Bradley Center.
Head to head, the Timberwolves are 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings and 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Milwaukee while the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The Bucks are 18-37 ATS in their last 55 games playing on 0 days rest, 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference and 7-15 ATS in their last 22 games overall. The Timberwolves on the other hand are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a losing home record and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall, but just 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 games following a S.U. win.
There's no doubt the Milwaukee Bucks are one of the three worst teams in all of basketball, which might change soon now they are getting players back from injury, but do you really trust the Minnesota Timberwolves as seven point road favorites? I happen to really like Minnesota and I want them to do well this season, but have a hard time laying this many points given what they have done on the road lately, which is lose four of five. Meanwhile, the Bucks have lost dropped six of eight, but three of their last four defeats have all come in overtime, so they haven't been that far off the mark. Instead, I'll be look at a total once again, which I have done quite a lot for tonight's game I must admit.
If you watch the NBA then you know what the Timberwolves are all about, they are going to score a ton of points and give up a ton at the same time. Let's take their last nine games as a snap shot shall we. Even though Minnesota has averaged 109 per game over their last nine, they have also given up 104 in those contests. The Bucks are ranked the third worst offensive team in the league, but they come into tonight's game averaging 106.2 points over their last five games, which is mainly due to those three overtime games more than anything else. Still, they put up 116 points against the 76ers in their last home outing and with players coming back, they should only improve from here on out..
Not a game I would bet on because we are still talking about Milwaukee here. But the over looks like the only really play in this one....
