The Line: Phoenix Suns -11 -- Over/Under: 215 See the Latest Odds
The Phoenix Suns look to bounce back as they play host to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.
Head to head, the 76ers are 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Phoenix while the favorite is 17-5 ATS in the last 22 meetings. The Suns are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 20-7-1 ATS in their last 28 games overall. The 76ers on the other hand are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record, but just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games and 2-11 ATS in their last 13 games overall.
While 215 points might seem like a whole lot for the ninth and 13th ranked offenses in the league, it's not when you really break it down. Let's start with the Philadelphia 76ers defense shall we, or lack there of. The 76ers are giving up an average of 111.7 points per game this season, which is easily the worst mark in the league. If you think that was bad, know that they have allowed an average of 126 points over their last four games. It's no surprise that the over has gone 19-9 in their 28 contests this season.
Before I get started on Phoenix, I have to say they let me down big time last night in Golden State. Having covered in 11 of their 13 road games prior to Friday night, I thought the Suns were a good chance to upset a Golden State team that hadn't been playing all that great lately, but i was wrong as the Warriors ran away with a 115-86 win. It was a very surprising score from a Suns team that was coming off 123 and 117 point performances. In fact, Phoenix had been averaging over 110 points in their last eight games coming into the Warriors showdown. I'm not going to let one bad night put me off and if anything, we should see a much better performance out of them tonight.
The over is also 8-2 in Suns last 10 home games, 11-4 in 76ers last 15 road games and 5-0 in 76ers last 5 overall.
Dan’s Pick: Over 215
