The Utah Jazz have not been doing well at all as they’ve lost eight of their last 10 games overall, but they will be feeling much better after arresting a four-game slide with a 118-114 win over the Nuggets last night. Ochai Agbaji led the way with 28 points on 10 of 25 shooting, Luka Samanic added 23 points on nine of 14 shooting while Kendrick Nunn chipped in with 19 points and 14 assists. As a team, the Jazz shot 44 percent from the field and 11 of 35 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they squandered an early 19-point lead, but they didn’t panic and held the Nuggets to just 19 points in the fourth quarter to escape with the narrow win.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in great form as they’ve won five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to stay hot after routing the Suns in a 121-107 home win on Friday. D’Angelo Russell led the team with 24 points on nine of 14 shooting, Austin Reaves added 22 points while Malik Beasley chipped in with 21 points off the bench. As a team, the Lakers shot 48 percent from the field and 18 of 36 from the 3-point line as they trailed going into halftime, before they dominated the second half by 60-45 to earn the important victory with ease in the end.
