The New Orleans Pelicans hope to put a halt to a three-game skid tonight when they welcome the Dallas Mavericks to town.
The Pelicans have lost three of their last four and their last three straight after getting beaten by the Wizards by 102-96 on Wednesday. Eric Gordon scored a game-high 23 points and Anthony Davis added 21, but the Pelicans just didn't start the game with the right intensity and found themselves behind by 17 points heading into halftime which basically put the game to bed before the fourth quarter. With the loss, New Orleans drops to 15-19 on the season and 9-6 at home where they had won four straight before Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks have lost three of their last four and are coming off a 112-90 trouncing thanks to the Spurs. Monta Ellis had a nice outing of 21 points on 10 of 18 shooting, while Vince Carter added 14 points including a highlight dunk, but no one else finished in double digits in scoring as the Mavs struggled mightily against the clinical Spurs to drop to 20-16 overall and 8-10 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Mavs are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 21-6 ATS in their last 27 games following a loss of more than 10 points, while the Pelicans are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games but 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Mavs are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall and 5-11 ATS in the last 16 meetings in New Orleans.
Both of these teams come into this game with a little inconsistency but I'm looking for the Pelicans to bounce back and carry on their strong form at home.
