How can you not love the over in this one? For one, these two teams have already met in Phoenix not so long ago and the total points scored was a lazy 231 as the Phoenix Suns cruised to a 15 point victory. In that contest, the Mavs only shot 48% overall and hit just 3-17 from beyond the arc, however, they put up a whopping 91 shots, which just shows you the frenetic pace they play at. Phoenix on the other hand shot 51% overall and 50% from downtown as they hit 15 of their 30 three-point attempts. Eric Bledsoe was the game-high scorer in that contest with 25 and will be missing for tonight’s clash obviously.
The Suns and Mavs are also coming off massive scoring games as Phoenix poured in 121 points in their win over the visiting Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night while Dallas put up 127 in their loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on the same night. The Mavericks have been red hot on the offensive end so far in 2014, scoring 107 points or better in four straight games and six of their last eight overall. As far as Phoenix is concerned, their games at home pretty much all season long have been high scoring as their total points scored over their last 13 games at US Airways Center has been a whopping 215 points. That’s the average folks.
So now you can see why I really like the over in this one. Both teams are in great form on the offensive end, the Suns home games lately have been very high scoring and they met not long ago and it was a shoot out. What more do you need?
