The Toronto Raptors will be hoping to avoid a fourth straight road loss when they duke it out with the Charlotte Bobcats today.
The Raptors have won four of their last six but are coming off a bit of a letdown loss when they got beaten by the Lakers by 112-106 in their own building. DeMar DeRozan led the way with 23 points, Kyle Lowry had 21 points and Patrick Patterson added 17, but the Raptors just fell victim to some hot shooting from Nick Young and the desperate Lakers. With the loss, Toronto fall to 20-19 overall and 10-9 at home where they had won six straight before the loss to the Lakers last night.

Meanwhile, the Bobcats have lost five of their last seven and will be heartbroken with their 104-96 overtime loss to the Heat on Saturday. After totalling 60 points in the first half, the Bobcats looked set for a big upset against the Heat but could only manage 30 points in the second half and six points in overtime and to add insult to injury, Kemba Walker sprained his ankle midway through the third quarter and did not return. In his absence, Ramon Sessions will step into the starting lineup which will really test the Bobcats' depth in their roster.
In ATS trends, the Raptors are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games following a loss and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, while the Bobcats are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and 0-5 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the Raptors are 5-16 ATS in the last 21 meetings overall and 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Charlotte.
Boy, the Bobcats were already struggling to score points and will need to lift as a team to make up for the loss of Walker, but I don't see that happening overnight. I really like the Raptors to bounce back from an upset loss and beat the Bobcats easily here.
