The Indiana Pacers and the Denver Nuggets duke it out at the Ball Arena on Friday night.

The Indiana Pacers have been in a rut as they’ve lost six of their last eight games and they will be hoping to arrest a five-game slide after getting routed by the Thunder in a 126-106 road loss on Wednesday. Andrew Nembhard led the team with 18 points and seven assists, Bennedict Mathurin added 13 points while Isaiah Jackson and Chris Duarte scored 11 points each. As a team, the Pacers shot just 41 percent from the field and 12 of 33 from the 3-point line, but they really struggled to find their offense early and got outscored by 36-20 in the first quarter, before they got blown out by 42-29 in the third quarter to fall behind by as many as 29 points.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been the hottest team in the league and they will be gunning for a ninth straight victory after sneaking past the Timberwolves in a 122-118 win on Wednesday. Nikola Jokic led the team with a triple-double of 31 points with 11 rebounds and 13 assists, Jamal Murray added 28 points while Bruce Brown chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Nuggets shot 52 percent from the field and eight of 21 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Timberwolves and trailed by 10 points before they dominated the fourth quarter by 34-23 to earn the win and keep their streak alive.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games playing on one days rest and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. The Nuggets are 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games, 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a win and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall and the over is 11-4 in the last 15 meetings in Denver.

The Pacers are again shorthanded as Tyrese Haliburton is still out, while the Nuggets are still missing Jeff Green, but they should have Jamal Murray available as he is listed as probable. The Pacers have really struggled since losing Haliburton to injury and I just don’t see them turning it around against the hottest team in the league right now. The Nuggets are heavily favored here, but they are 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games and I think that trend continues here as the Nuggets roll.
