NBA Player Updates 1/26: Durant Triples Up, Tonight's TV Schedule and More

We went from an eight-game schedule yesterday in the NBA to another eight-game slate today, so it’s been a pretty good weekend for basketball. While we’re waiting on tip-offs, let’s take a closer look at some of the noteworthy happenings out there and see who’s making headlines. Here’s the latest.
D.J. Augustin, PG, Chicago Bulls: After recording just seven points against the Clippers, Augustin was back to his high-scoring ways yesterday against the Bobcats. He put up 28 points in the 89-87 victory, thanks to 6-of-12 from three-point range. Augustin also added three assists and a pair of steals.
The Bulls continue their improbable run at 22-21 and have won four of their last five games. They’ll get one home game tomorrow against Minnesota before setting out on a six-game road trip.

Jamal Crawford, SG, Los Angeles Clippers: There’s a new season-high-man in NBA bench scoring today, and it’s Crawford. He put up 37 in 32 minutes during the Clippers’ 126-118 victory over the Raptors, thanks to five makes from 3-point land and eight free throws. He also added 11 assists for the double-double.
The Clippers are in Milwaukee to finish off their lengthy Grammy road trip tomorrow. They’re 31-15 on the season and have won three of four.
Kevin Durant, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder: What shoulder injury? Durant was out nursing his ailment as the Thunder played Boston, but was back in full effect yesterday against the Sixers. He dropped a triple-double on Philly, including 32 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. The Thunder would take the game 103-91 on Durant’s 10th straight 30-plus scoring outing.
That’s seven straight wins for OKC; They’re sitting pretty at 35-10. Next game is tomorrow at home against Atlanta.
Wilson Chandler, SF, Denver Nuggets: Chandler has been pretty good for the Nuggets lately, and he continued that run yesterday against a tough Pacers team. He put up a season-high 25 points during Denver’s nice 109-96 victory, adding six rebounds and three assists in the process. That makes eight straight double-digit scoring outings for Chandler.
Up next is a road game in Sacramento today. The win stops a three-game skid for the Nuggets and puts them at 21-21 on the season.
