The Line: Atlanta Hawks -3.5 -- Over/Under: 207.5 See the Latest Odds
The Atlanta Hawks look to continue their dominance over the Detroit Pistons tonight from Philips Arena.
The Hawks are 17-6 ATS in their last 23 games playing on 1 days rest, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games. The Pistons on the other hand are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600, but just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Given that Jeff Teague is questionable for tonight's game against the Detroit Pistons with a left ankle sprain, I could only find one line out on this game, which is what ill use here.
Injuries keep on piling up for the Atlanta Hawks, yet they keep on winning as they look to cement their place in third spot in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks come into tonight's game having won three of five and they are very unlucky not to have made that four of five as they fell on a Kevin Durant buzzer-beater in their 111-109 loss in Oklahoma City on Thursday night. Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been one of the biggest disappointments in the NBA through the first half of the season, currently sitting 10 games under .500, not exactly playoff material. Funny I say that, because this Pistons team is only half a game behind the eighth place Charlotte, that's how bad the East is this season.
Atlanta has had the wood over Detroit for quite some time now as they have won both meetings this season and eight of the last 10 overall. The Hawks have been able to shut down the Pistons in both games this season, holding them below 43 percent shooting and under 90 points on both occasions.
I have no clue what Detroit is going to do tonight and if Teague will play or not, so that make this pick pretty tricky. Even though both teams have been scoring at a high clip recently, I can't look past their first two meetings and how low scoring they were. Those meetings finished on 185 and 178, pretty low wouldn't you say...
Dan’s Pick: Under 207.5
