The Phoenix Suns hope to avoid their second loss in as many nights when they take on the Houston Rockets tonight.
The Suns just had their five-game winning streak snapped last night when they lost to the Bulls by 101-92 at home. Goran Dragic continued his hot run with 24 points while Channing Frye added 16 points, but as a team the Suns really struggled to score against the determined Bulls, especially in the first half where they totalled just 33 points. The Suns would turn it up in the second half to make it a contest but they just left themselves too much to do in the end. With the loss, Phoenix drop to 29-19 overall and 16-8 at home where they will play 10 of their next 13.

Meanwhile, the Rockets have bounced back form back to back losses against the Grizzlies with three wins on the trot, including a 106-92 win over the Cavaliers on Saturday. James Harden had a nice scoring night of 28 points while Dwight Howards added 26, but player of the game was actually Jeremy Lin who came off the bench and compiled his first triple-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Houston has now won 11 of their last 15 to improve to 32-17 on the season.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games playing on no days rest and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games following a loss, while the Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a win.
Head to head, the Suns are 23-7 ATS in the last 30 meetings and 20-6 ATS in the last 26 in Houston.
I was surprised by how much the Suns struggled to put up points in the first half against the Bulls, but they've been so good playing on the second night of back to back sets, so I think they'll be able to cover the spread in what should be a track meet.
