The Miami Heat head to the Staples Center on Wednesday to face off against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Los Angeles Clippers are playing very solid ball this season, going 34-17 overall on the year, and currently leading the Pacific division by three games over the Phoenix Suns. The Clippers have the second ranked offense in the league this season, putting up an average of 106.1 points per game. There is some room for improvement on the defensive end of things for the Clippers, but if L.A. can keep up this offense, the Clippers will be a tough out this post season. Los Angeles has dropped two out of their last three games heading into this meeting with the Heat, with their last loss coming on Monday on the road against the Nuggets, falling to Denver 116-115.

The Miami Heat are again among the elite of the league this season, as the Heat are 34-13 on the year. Miami has struggled somewhat on the road this season however, going just 14-9 away from home. The Heat are ranked eighth in the league in both scoring offense and defense right now, putting up an average of 104.1 points per game, while allowing 98.7 per outing. The Heat have won five out of their last six games heading into Los Angeles, with their last outing resulting in a win against the Pistons at home on Monday 102-96. This is the first game for the Heat in a tough six game road stretch.
The Heat are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games overall, and the Heat are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games following a win. The Heat are also 0-4 against the spread in their last four games against the Pacific division.
The Clippers are 16-5 against the spread in their last 21 games following an ATS loss, and the Clippers are 5-11 against the spread in their last 16 home games against a team with a winning road record on the year.
I have to take the Clippers here. Miami is starting a tough road stretch, and after dropping their last outing on Monday against the Nuggets, the Clippers will be looking to get back into the win column here. Also, Los Angeles has dropped their last two outings against the Heat, both of which were in Miami. Time for payback.
