The Los Angeles Clippers look to bounce back against the Toronto Raptors on Friday night from STAPLES Center.

Head to head, the Raptors are 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings while the home team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The Clippers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss, but just 5-12 ATS in their last 17 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Raptors on the other hand are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. loss, 19-7 ATS in their last 26 road games and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games overall.

The Toronto Raptors have covered the spread in 20 of their past 26 games, which is easily the best mark in the league over that time period. Yet somehow, I’ve managed to go 0-2 with them in the only two games I’ve covered against Boston and Sacramento on Wednesday night, so thanks Toronto. In all seriousness, the Raptors have been a really solid NBA team since shipping Rudy Gay off to Sacramento near the start of December and they have been lights out against the spread, which matters more for what we are talking about. Not only have they covered in 20 of 26, but they have also gone 19-7 against the spread in their last 26 road games despite failing to cover against the Kings on Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Clippers have exceed expectations since Chris Paul went down with an injury at the beginning of December, however, they come into tonight’s game losers of two straight and three of four overall after falling to Lebron James and the Miami Heat 116-112 at home on Wednesday night. In all fairness to LA, their other two losses came in Denver and Golden State and both weren’t bad losses when you look at the circumstances. They were in a bad spot in that Warriors game having just returned from a seven-game road trip in just 11 days and not to mention that Golden State were coming off a bad home loss to Washington. Against the Nuggets, they were unlucky not to come away with the win as Randy Foye hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to lift his team to a 116-115 victory.

The over has to be the player here right? Not only did these two combine for a whopping 244 points in Toronto under two weeks ago, but virtually ever Clippers game these days is a shootout. Heck, even their recent games against Boston and Washington both went over 210 total points. The Raptors aren't an offensive powerhouse, but they have eclipsed 100 points in six of their last eight games...
