The Denver Nuggets head to Detroit on Saturday to face off against the Detroit Pistons.
The Detroit Pistons have struggled this season, going 20-29 overall on the season, while having a home record of just 10-15. The Pistons are led offensively by Brandon Jennings, who is scoring just over 17 points per game, for a Detroit offense that is ranked in the middle of the road in the NBA right now with an average of 99.9 points per game scored. The Pistons have dropped two out of their last three outings heading into Saturday’s meeting with the Nuggets, with their last win coming on Friday night against the Nets in Brooklyn 111-95.

The Denver Nuggets are sitting right at the .500 mark this season at 24-24. The Nuggets are 10-13 on the road this season, despite having one of the better offenses in the league, scoring more than 104 points per game on the year. Denver is also one of the best teams in the league on the boards, and against the Pistons the Nuggets have a clear advantage here. The thing that worries me about Denver is their defense. The Nuggets are giving up more than 103 points per game this season, something that definitely needs to improve.
The Denver Nuggets are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against a team with a losing record, and the Nuggets are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against the Eastern Conference.
The Detroit Pistons are just 4-10 against the spread in their last 14 home games, and the Pistons are 5-2-1 against the spread in their last eight games on Saturdays.
I know they’re on the road here, but I have to take the points with Denver. The Nuggets have owned the Pistons lately, and while I do think the Pistons are due, I don’t think it will be here on Saturday, despite coming off a solid win Friday night.
