The New York Knicks will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday afternoon in an NBA game that should be highly entertaining.
The Knicks snapped a three-game losing streak on Friday with a victory over the Denver Nuggets. They got back to playing New York basketball by shooting 56.5 percent from the field and knocking down 11 threes. They still have to clean up the 23 turnovers they had, but the Knicks are clearly at their best when they get out and throw up a ton of shots. Amar’e Stoudemire has also scored in the double digits in two straight games.

Oklahoma City is coming off a shocking loss to the Orlando Magic. Despite shooting over 50 percent, the Thunder still allowed 103 points to the Magic to lose their second time in four games. Of course, the 16 turnovers and lack of defense down the stretch didn’t help matters.
This will be the second and final meeting this season between these two teams, as the Thunder won the Christmas game 123-94. But these are clearly two different teams than when they met before. The Knicks are getting healthier and playing somewhat to expectations, while the Thunder have been shaky as of late.
New York is 21-29 against the spread this season and 11-10 ATS on the road. Oklahoma City is 30-22 ATS and 14-11 ATS at home.
The Knicks getting double-digit points is tasty, especially considering they have covered five of their last seven games against the Thunder. Of course the Thunder are the better team, but the Knicks aren’t pushovers and will hope to make a statement on national television.
I’ll gladly take the points.
