The Denver Nuggets will travel to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse to play the Indiana Pacers for the second and final time this season. They won the previous meeting a couple of weeks ago 109-96.
The Pacers are coming off of a shocking 93-92 loss to the Orlando Magic on Sunday. They turned the ball over 15 times, shot 57.9 percent from the free throw line and were outrebounded 48-41. While the defense continues to do its job, Indiana is shooting just 44 percent and 25.6 percent from beyond the arc in its last five games. The defense is holding teams is 95 points on 42.7 percent shooting. The Pacers are 31-18 against the spread this season and 17-9 ATS at home.

The Nuggets have lost two straight and four of their last six games. During that time they’re scoring 103 points on 45.7 percent shooting, while the defense is allowing 111.6 points on 47.7 percent shooting. The lack of defense has been an issue for this team all season, as they’ve allowed more than 100 points in seven straight contests. They are 22-27 against the spread and 12-12 ATS on the road.
The spread on this game is quite interesting considering the Pacers have been a little shaky as of late. Not only did they lose SU to Orlando, but they just recently lost to Denver and were sleepwalking in tight victories over Atlanta and Portland. Denver doesn’t play a lick of defense, but it does shoot a high enough percentage to keep this game close, similar to what the Trail Blazers did on Friday.
The Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings against the Pacers and have won the last five meetings SU.
I’ll gladly take double digit points in this matchup.
