The Atlanta Hawks head to Indiana on Tuesday to face off against the Pacers.
The Indiana Pacers are currently in first place in their division, leading the Chicago Bulls by 13 games. The Pacers are one of the more dominant teams in the league right now, and even though we are just past the All Star break, the Pacers look to be on a collision course with the Heat in the East. Indiana has the top ranked scoring defense in the league right now, holding opponents to an average of 90.3 points per game. Indiana was struggling a bit heading into the break, dropping two out of three, so hopefully for them they can get something together here after some time off.

The Atlanta Hawks are currently one game below the .500 mark at this point, having a record of 25-26 on the season. The Hawks have one of the stronger offensive units in the league, putting up more than 101 points per game on average, but the defense has let Atlanta down at times this season, currently ranking 16th in the league in points allowed. The leading scorer for the Hawks this season is their big man, Al Horford, who is scoring just 18.6 points per game, showing that the Hawks are great at spreading the wealth, ranking first in the NBA with 25.6 assists per game.
The Hawks are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against teams with a winning record at home, and the Hawks are 0-4 against the spread in their last four games following a loss.
The Pacers are 8-2 against the spread in their last ten games at home when playing a team with a losing record on the road, and the Pacers are 16-5 against the spread in their last 21 games when playing on three or more days of rest.
This is a lot of points, but I have to take Indiana here. The Pacers are in the elite of the East this season, and having a rough end to their first half, Indiana will look to come out strong here at home.
