For the second and final time this season, the Utah Jazz and Brooklyn Nets will meet on the hardwood. The Nets won the previous meeting back in November, 104-88.
The Nets have seemed to figure things out, winning four of their last six games. Even with a roster full of veteran scorers, they’re getting the job done defensively, holding teams to just 92.4 points in their last five contests. Offensively, they’re shooting 45 percent from the field and an above-average 36.6 percent from beyond the arc on the season. They’ve scored in the 90s in three of their last four games. They are 25-26 ATS overall this season and 10-13 ATS on the road.

The Jazz headed into the All-Star break with three straight victories. Still, in their last five games, they’re averaging just 91 points on 43.3 percent shooting and allowing 93 points on 43.8 percent shooting. That just goes to show how bad this team can be when they lose. At home, they score 96.5 points and allow 99.5 points. Scoring has been an issue for this team all season, as they’ve topped 100 points only once in their last seven contests. They are 23-26-3 ATS overall and 11-13-2 ATS on their home court.
Brooklyn has really struggled on the road this season, allowing teams to score 100.5 points and scoring just 94.1 points. Utah has won four of its last six home games and has won four of its last five meetings against the Nets.
The Jazz are playing with some decent momentum and should be eager to get revenge from the embarrassing loss earlier in the year. Not to mention the home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings between these two teams.
I’ll take the points and the home team in this one.
