The Golden State Warriors head to Detroit on Monday to face off against the Pistons.
The Detroit Pistons are sitting at 23-33 on the season, and are ranked third in their division. The Pistons are still in the playoff hunt in the East as things sit now, trailing the eight ranked Brooklyn Nets by just 3.5 games. Detroit is led offensively by Brandon Jennings, who is scoring an average of 17.4 points per game on the season. The Pistons are very much in the playoff hunt, but Detroit has struggled lately and the Pistons need to get things turned around if they are going to have a shot at the post season.

The Golden State Warriors are playing some solid ball this season, having a record of 34-22 this season. The Warriors, unlike the Pistons don’t have the advantage of being in a week conference, and even with a solid record, Golden State is in seventh place in the East. The Warriors are led offensively by Stephen Curry, who is scoring a solid 24.3 points per game on the season. Golden State has won three straight heading into Monday’s meeting in Detroit, with their latest win coming on Saturday against the Nets 93-86.
Golden State is 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five games overall, and the Warriors are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six games when playing on one day of rest.
The Detroit Pistons are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games when playing on one day of rest, and the Pistons are 5-11 against the spread in their last 16 games when following a loss.
I have GOlden State figuring to be a much larger favorite than this making them a strong play in this spot.
