The Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings will play their fourth and final regular season meeting against one another this season. Surprisingly, the Kings lead the season series 2-1.
The Rockets are wrapping up a five-game road trip and have done fairly well, winning nine of their last 10 games. They’re coming off of a Sunday 115-112 victory over the Phoenix Suns where they shot 52.6 percent from the field. In their last five games, they’re averaging 113.6 points on 47.3 percent shooting and allowing 104.6 points on 43.6 percent shooting. On the road they average 105.6 points and give up 105.2 points. They are 29-25-2 ATS overall and 14-13 ATS on the road.

The Kings seem to be figuring it out just a little bit, winning three of their last four games, including a 109-95 road victory over the Denver Nuggets. During this mini streak, they’re averaging 102.2 points on 46.8 percent shooting and allowing 100.8 points on 43 percent shooting. Point guard Isaiah Thomas is playing like an all-star, shooting 52.6 percent and averaging 23.2 points in his last five games. The Kings average 102.7 points and allow 101.7 points on their home court. They are 25-29-2 ATS overall and 12-17 ATS at home.
I truly believe the Kings have what it takes to win this game SU. They’re young, can score and are finally playing with a little confidence after a few wins. However, we also know that the Rockets could win this game by double-digits if the Kings aren’t’ careful.
That’s why I’ll take my chances on the over. Sure, it’s a little on the high side, but the Rockets have scored more than 100 points in eight of their last nine games, and the Kings have topped 100 points in three of their last four games.
The over has hit in five of the Rockets last seven games against the NBA Pacific.
