The Los Angeles Lakers hope to rebound from their hiding last night by upsetting the Memphis Grizzlies on NBA Wednesday.
The Lakers have lost six of their last seven and will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss tonight after getting thumped by the Pacers last night. Kent Bazemore set himself another career-high with 23 points while Pau Gasol and Jodie Meeks added 13 points apiece, but while the Lakers battled hard in the first half, there was just no recovering from a horrific 34-16 third quarter once the Pacers hit their stride. With the loss, Los Angeles falls to 19-38 overall and 10-20 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies just had their four-game win streak snapped on Saturday when they lost to the Bobcats by 92-89. Mike Conley led the team with 16 points while Marc Gasol added 15, but the Grizzlies really did struggle on offense in the second half, especially in the third quarter where they totalled just 15. On the defensive end, they did a great job of holding Al Jefferson to just six points, but those efforts were offset by Kemba Walker who poured in a game-high 31 points. With the loss, Memphis falls to 31-24 overall and 15-10 on the road where they've lost three of their last five.
In ATS trends, the Lakers are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games, while the Grizzlies 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games.
Head to head, the Lakers are 1-3-2 ATS in the last six meetings.
The last time these teams met, it was the Lakers who won by 96-92 back on Dec. 17 behind 21 points from Kobe Bryant, but it's fair to say the Lakers have gone through a few changes since then.
You never really know what you're going to get from the Lakers on a nightly basis but the Grizzlies have really been heating up lately and should be good enough to win this one at home by double digits.
