The Utah Jazz look to kick off their six-game road trip with a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.
The Jazz have responded from a three-game losing streak with two wins on the trot after blowing past the shorthanded Suns by 109-86 on Wednesday. Mired in a terrible shooting slump, Gordon Hayward made sure he put his fingerprints all over the game and finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists to lead seven players in double figures. Yes, the win comes with an asterisk as the Suns were without their leading scorer in Goran Dragic, but he wouldn't have done much to stop the Jazz who shot 56.8 percent from the field and 50 percent from the three point line. With the win, Utah improved to 21-36 overall and 14-16 at home.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers were able to snap a three-game skid on Wednesday by shocking the Thunder in a 114-104 win thanks to 31 points and nine assists from Kyrie Irving. Jarrett Jack added 21 points while Spencer Hawes had 19, but this game was all about Irving who scored 14 of his 31 points in a 42-28 fourth quarter for the Cavs. What made the win more surprising was that the Cavs were without CJ Miles, Anderson Varejao and Dion Waiters who are all key cogs in the team's offensive scheme. With the win, Cleveland improves to 23-36 overall and 9-21 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Jazz are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games against a team with a losing home record, while the Cavs are 6-0 ATS in their last six games following a win and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the Jazz are 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings and the Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Cleveland.
The Cavs really impressed me with their win over the Thunder so I'm sticking with them to take down the young Jazz at home.
