The Atlanta Hawks and the Phoenix Suns duke it out at the Footprint Center on Wednesday night.

The Atlanta Hawks look to have well and truly cooled off from their five-game win streak as they have now lost four of their last five overall after falling just short to the Trail Blazers in a 129-125 road loss on Monday. Dejounte Murray led the team with 40 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, Bogdan Bogdanovic added 23 points and seven assists off the bench while John Collins chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Hawks shot 46 percent from the field and 13 of 30 from the 3-point line as they clawed their way back from a 10-point fourth quarter deficit to tie the game late, only to allow the Trail Blazers to close out the final 34.1 seconds on an 8-4 run to snatch the game away from them in the end.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns look to have turned things around as they’ve won six of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Raptors in a 114-106 win on Monday. Mikal Bridges led the team with 29 points and six assists, DeAndre Ayton added 22 points with 13 rebounds on nine of 17 shooting while Chris Paul chipped in with 19 points and nine assists. As a team, the Suns shot 49 percent from the field and 11 of 28 from the 3-point line as they went cold and scored just 20 points in the third quarter to waste an early 10-point lead, but they regrouped and closed the final 3:02 on a 15-6 run to snatch the game from them in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 8-23 ATS in their last 31 road games against a team with a home record above .600. The Suns are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 6-0 in the last six meetings overall and the Hawks are 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Phoenix.

The Hawks should be at full health for this one with Trae Young expected to return to the lineup, while the Suns are still missing Devin Booker, Landry Shamet and Cameron Payne. The Hawks have struggled since Young went down, but the supporting cast were almost able to pull off the win against the streaking Trail Blazers on Monday. The Suns are finally back to playing decent basketball and it hasn’t been a one-man show with different players stepping up on different nights. It’s hard to split these two teams at the moment, but the Hawks are only 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Phoenix and I think that trend continues as the Suns get the job done at home in a close one.
