The Charlotte Bobcats will have their work cut out for them on Monday when the Bobcats head to Miami to face off against the always tough Heat.
The Miami Heat are currently in second place in the East, trailing the Pacers by just two and a half games. Miami has a record of 42-14 this season, and the Heat are primed for yet another title run. The Heat have been on a roll lately, as Miami has won seven straight heading into this meeting with the Bobcats, with their latest win coming on Saturday against the Magic, 112-98 in Miami. Wade led the Heat against the Magic, putting up a solid 24 points on the night.

The Charlotte Bobcats are currently in the post season mix in the East this season, as the Bobcats have a record of 27-32. Charlotte is in seventh place in the conference, and currently hold a four game advantage over the ninth place Cavaliers for the playoff cut-off mark. Charlotte has struggled in their last couple of outings, dropping two in a row. It should be noted however that the Bobcats are in the middle of a brutal four game stretch that sees them facing the Spurs, the Thunder, Miami and finally the Pacers on Wednesday back home in Charlotte. Last time out the Bobcats fell to the Thunder 116-99 in OKC on Sunday night. Roberts is still listed as questionable for the Bobcats as he is nursing an eye injury.
Charlotte is just 2-7 against the spread in their last nine games on the road against a team with a winning home record. Charlotte however, is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against teams with winning records on the season.
The Heat are 5-0-2 against the spread in their last seven games overall, and Miami is 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five games against the East. The favorite is 4-1 agaisnt the spread in the last four meetings between the Bobcats and the Heat.
I have to take Miami here. This is a ton of points to be giving up, but as Miami showed us against the Magic, the Heat aren’t pulling any punches right now. The Bobcats are a cool story, and are playing better, but Charlotte is in a brutal spot here and I just don’t see the Bobcats running with Miami here on Monday night.
