The New Orleans Pelicans pay a visit to the Sacramento Kings tonight in a battle of the Western Conference cellar dwellers.
While the All-Star break has helped some teams kick off their playoff run, the Pelicans have yet to win a game since the break, losing seven straight including a 108-76 blowout against the Clippers on Saturday. Tyreke Evans had a decent game of 22 points while Austin Rivers added 19 off the bench, but with Anthony Davis playing just 20 minutes because of foul trouble, the Pelicans fell behind big early and never looked dangerous. New Orleans did play the previous night so maybe fatigue played its role in the loss, but the fact is that their only road win in their last nine outings came against the Bucks.

Meanwhile, the Kings have lost seven of their last 10 games and will be hoping to avoid a fourth straight loss after falling to the Timberwolves by 108-97 on Saturday. DeMarcus Cousins returned from the one-game suspension to score 21 points and 17 rebounds, while Rudy Gay and Isaiah Thomas added 24 and 22 points respectively, but despite leading by three points at the half, the Kings lost the game in a 31-14 third quarter where they committed six of their 19 turnovers which led to numerous fast-break baskets for the Wolves. Not for the first time this season, it just seemed like the Kings keep shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers and lapses in concentration which is a major reason why their dead last in the Western Conference.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall, while the Kings are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a double digit loss at home and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 6-16 ATS in the last 22 meetings overall and just 3-15-1 ATS in the last 19 meetings in Sacramento.
