The Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Bobcats will play for the third time this season. They met twice back in November, and the Bobcats won both meetings.
The Cavs are coming off two straight losses and have actually lost five of their last seven games. The reason for these losses has a lot to do with the lack of scoring, as they average just 97 points on 42.7 percent shooting on the season. They’ve scored under 100 points in six of their last 10 games and four of those games resulted in losses. However, Kyrie Irving has scored at least 21 points in five straight games. On the road, the Cavs average 96.2 points and allow 104.6 points. They are 28-34 ATS overall and 12-19 ATS on the road.

The Bobcats have won five of their last eight games and are coming off a monster win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. They also have a problem offensively, averaging just 95.5 points on 43.8 percent shooting on the season. Defensively, however, they hold teams to just 97.3 points on 44.3 percent shooting. In fact, the Bobcats have allowed only two 100-point games in their last six contests. At home, they average 94.7 points and give up 93.9 points. They are 33-25-3 ATS overall and 16-13-1 ATS at home.
With the line where it’s currently at, I see value in backing the Cavs on the road. They may be on the road to tanking, but they still play hard to a certain extent and have covered in five of their last six road games. Charlotte isn’t the most consistent team in the world and two of its last three wins were won by just three points.
Both teams play in tight games and they’re somewhat in the same ballpark talent wise.
Give me the points, please.
