The Los Angeles Lakers travel to the Pepsi Center to take on the Denver Nuggets tonight.
The Nuggets have lost 11 of their last 13 games but were able to snap a six-game losing streak on Wednesday by beating the Mavericks by 115-110. In a balanced scoring effort, Wilson Chandler led the way with 21 points, Ty Lawson added 20 points while three other players added 16 points each to lead the Nuggets set the tone with 41 points in the first quarter. However, on defense the Nuggets were far from their best as they allowed the Mavs to shoot 53 percent from the field, including a flurry of threes at the end to get Nuggets fans nervous, but they got the win so no one's complaining.

On the other hand, the Lakers have lost nine of their last 12 games and are coming off a nightmare 142-94 loss against the Clippers. There's no real point in me mentioning any stats because garbage time began before halftime. I thought I saw a mismatch when the Thunder destroyed the 76ers on Tuesday, but this game was so much worse. The Lakers need to scrap that game and move on because after they play the Nuggets tonight, they play a home and home set against the Thunder followed by a set against the Spurs.
In ATS trends, the Lakers are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games against a team with a losing home record, while hte Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall.
Head to head, the Lakers are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings in Denver.
