The Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks will meet Saturday afternoon at the Madison Square Garden. It’s the fourth and final meeting between these two teams, and the Knicks lead the series 2-1.
The Bucks head into this matchup losing five of their last six games, as they continue to chase the title as the worst team in the NBA. But it’s certainly not for a lack of trying, as they are playing hard. In their last five games, they’re averaging 102.8 points on 45.6 percent shooting and are allowing 107.6 points on 49.6 percent shooting. Point guard Brandon Knight has scored at least 20 points in his last four games. On the road, the Bucks average 95.7 points and allow 104.2 points. They are 29-36 ATS overall and 15-16 ATS on the road.

Don’t look now, but the Knicks have won five straight games, as they’re hoping to sneak into the playoff race. During their streak, they’re averaging 114.4 points on 50.2 percent shooting and are allowing 97.2 points on 43.9 percent shooting. All of those numbers are head and shoulders better than their season averages. At home, the Knicks average 99.9 points and give up 100.8 points. They are 28-38 ATS overall and 12-22 ATS at home.
The Bucks are 4-0 ATS in their last four games and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against the Eastern Conference. The Knicks are 4-1 ATS in their last five but 0-6 ATS in their last six games played on two days’ rest. The Bucks are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games played in New York.
The last four meetings between these teams have been decided by single digits, including one game this year that went into overtime. While the Knicks appear to be back on track, 10 points is simply too much to give to a Milwaukee squad that still has a little fight left.
I’ll take the points.
